Worst To Best Incredible Hulk Games So Far

In all honestly most games based on The Incredible Hulk have been below average. It’s a shame because this green giant is one of my all-time favorite Marvel characters. This article provides a worst to best list of popular retail games, as well as a list of games Hulk has appeared in. As new games are released, this article will be updated.

6. The Incredible Hulk (Nintendo DS)

#6 The Incredible Hulk Nintendo DS
The very terribly simple level design and it’s way too easy. Hulk was way overpowered here. Just run bash and smash everything in your way. That’s pretty much all there is to this game. I guess they got the destruction right, but everything else is just bad here.

5. The Incredible Hulk (Gameboy Advance)

#5 The Incredible Hulk Gameboy Advance
This one was plain boring. Punch some bad guys, slowly move to the next area, beat up more bad guys, pick up a car and throw it at bad guys. The level design and enemies were pretty bad. I guess considering this was a Gameboy advance game they were not capable of doing much, but come on where the hulk smash and all chaos at?

4. The Incredible Hulk: The Pantheon Saga (PlayStation, Sega Saturn, MS-DOS)

#4 Hulk The Pantheon Saga
This was actually a semi-enjoyable 3D beat em up Hulk game back in the day. Not much story to it, but the level design and music was pretty good. The levels had switches to hit, secrets and traps to avoid. The enemies and combat were pretty stale but still tolerable. The boss fights were terrible, looks like too buff men slap boxing each other lol. Considering when it was released, I would say the Pantheon Saga is slightly below average game.

3. The Incredible Hulk (Super Nintendo, SEGA Genesis)

#3 The Incredible Hulk Super Nintendo
A 2D Hulk platform game. It’s very basic, but the platforming was ok. Hulk and enemies feel out of place at times. Punishing enemies is simple but fitting considering it’s a 2D game, Rush, punch or grab enemies by the throat. The music is horrendous, it won’t take too long before you decide to hit the mute button. Overall the levels are varied enough and it’s a decent platformer.

2. The Incredible Hulk (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii)

#2 The Incredible Hulk Xbox 360
A 3D hulk game that gets the destruction right. Throwing cars and bashing enemies is awesome. Hulk looks amazing in this one, but the environments look average at best. The story is a mess and not even worth following! Smashing and attacking with hulk is satisfying, too bad it becomes boring pretty fast. Missions become repetitive quickly. I am glad they added secret collectibles around the free roaming maps, and that the game is over 12 hours in length. This one is decent overall, a little boring after a while though.

1. The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction (PS2, Xbox, Gamecube)

#1 The Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction Gamecube
If you were to play or buy one Hulk game, please make sure it’s Ultimate Destruction. The story is really good and will keep you tuned in. The gameplay is very destructive in a good way, so many moves and combos to attack with. The boss fights are epic, varied well and exciting. Some of the missions could have been better with more variety, but they are still good. The game also features tons of costumes and skins to unlock, hidden collectibles to find and a long length campaign. This is the best Hulk game hands down, by far. It’s been a while since this was released (2005), we need another high-quality game created for current game systems.

* The Incredible Hulk Also Made Playable Appearances In These Great Games *

Although The Incredible Hulk was not the main character in any of the following retail games listed below, he made very memorable appearances in them.

– Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash Of The Super Heroes
Platforms: Arcade, PlayStation 3, PlayStation, Xbox 360, Dreamcast
Marvel Vs Capcom Clash Hulk
Even though Hulk appeared in Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel vs Street Fighter games first. His biggest video gaming spotlight was becoming one of the favorites to play as in the Marvel vs Capcom Series. He is very slow and sluggish in Marvel vs Capcom: Clash Of The Super Heroes, but he makes up for it with his size and raw attack powers.

– Marvel vs. Capcom 2
Platforms: Arcade, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, Xbox, Dreamcast, PlayStation Portable, iOS
Marvel Vs Capcom 2 Hulk
Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is still the best fighting game in this series. Hulk is a little bit thinner and faster, but his special attacks are just as powerful.

– Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
Platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation Vita, Microsoft Windows
Marvel Vs Capcom 3 Hulk
Marvel vs Capcom 3 was released much later, than the previous games. So the graphics were much more realistic. Now 2D but with full 3D models. Hulk has never looked so mean and green! The green power fist is pretty deadly in this one.

– Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite
Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows
Marvel VS Capcom Infinite hulk
This game was just released 2 months ago. It’s probably the worst game in the Marvel vs Capcom series, but it’s still pretty good. It’s just a bit boring to play because the fluidity of the moves and attacks seem a little off. Anyways Hulk has never looked better in a game graphically. The details of his muscles, clothing and facial expressions are very impressive. Just wish he was a bit greener here xD.

– LEGO Marvel Avengers
Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3
Lego Marvel Avengers Hulk
You can play as Hulk in free roam areas and during a few missions in LEGO Marvel Avengers. His super high jumps and Hulk Smash are really impressive. They captured his destructive chaotic nature perfectly in this one.
– Video Gameplay

– LEGO Marvel Super Heroes
Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3
Lego Marvel Super Heroes Hulk
Once unlocked, hulk can be spawned at any time in free-roam areas of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. He lacks some special moves and chaotic behavior compared to other games he has been in, but he feels more useful here. Many of the missions revolve around using hulk and his powers.

– Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 1 & 2
Platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Xbox One
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 Hulk
A fun beat em up action role-playing game where you can choose hulk as your main character if you like. Fight alone or with a Marvel heroes team controlled by online players. You can level up, unlock more power moves, and smash enemies in your way. A great team-oriented action game. The big green guy is represented well here.
